Areas of Expertise

Grief Support

As a caring and knowledgeable professional grief counselor, I offer one-on-one support for people experiencing a loss of any kind. Grief is a complex and personal experience, and I am dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals to express and process their emotions.

Bereavement Support Groups

In the group experience, I strive to provide information, validation, comfort and encouragement to individuals going through the grieving process. Together, we work to understand grief and find hope and healing amidst the pain of loss.

While we generally think about grief in the experience of the death of a person, an overlooked grief involves the death of a pet. I conduct grief support groups that address the needs of those whose pets have died or have gone missing.

Another specific type of group support can be created for a group of individuals who have experienced the death of a co-worker, client, classmate, or a resident in a facility.

Grief Education

No one ever teaches us about grief and grieving, and yet most of the most profound events of our lives involve loss of some kind. Wouldn't it be great if someone told us what we might expect, that we are normal to feel the way we do, and that it is possible to heal and grow from this experience?

My Approach

In my approach to grief counseling, I prioritize empathy, active listening, and creating a non-judgmental space for individuals to explore their grief. I believe in the power of personalized support and tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each person I work with. Together, we embark on a journey towards healing and finding meaning in the midst of loss.
