Hello, I'm Karen.
Whether sitting quietly with a grieving spouse, guiding a family through hospice decisions, or helping someone honor the memory of a beloved pet, I bring warmth, empathy, and steadiness to each encounter. My role is not to “fix” grief but to walk beside you as you navigate your unique path through it.
Above all, I consider it a privilege to support others through the healing process—offering presence, understanding, and hope for the days ahead.
My Story
For more than four decades, I have dedicated my career to walking alongside individuals and families during some of life’s most tender and difficult seasons. My journey began with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology (1977) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (1981), leading to a lifelong vocation of care, compassion, and service.
I served as a Hospice and Home Care Nursing Supervisor from 1985 until 2022, overseeing teams that provided comfort and dignity to patients and their loved ones. Since 1986, I have also been honored to facilitate bereavement support groups, creating safe spaces for people to share, heal, and find connection in community.

My professional path reflects a deep commitment to end-of-life care and grief support. I became a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse and a Certified Hospice Educator. I later earned credentials as a Certified Grief Educator, Certified Grief Counselor (2024), and Certified Pet Loss Counselor (2025). These certifications reflect my belief that grief—whether for a person or a beloved animal companion—deserves understanding, validation, and compassionate guidance.
